Mark most fuses with markings on the body or end caps, indicating their rating.
But "Chip type" fuses feature little or no markings, making identification very difficult. Fuses may appear similar to significantly different characteristics that determine their markings.
Fuse markings usually convey the following information:
1. Ampere rating of the fuse
2. Fuse of voltage class
3. Time-current characteristics, i.e. speed fuse
4. Ratification by national and international standards bodies
5. Manufacturer/Product Number/Series 6. Interrupt Capability
