What Is The Difference Between AC Fast Fuse And DC Fast Fuse?

Both DC fuses and AC fuses belong to the category of current-limiting fuses. They are very similar in shape and structure, but the process of cutting off the current is very different: AC power is conducted alternately in a sinusoidal waveform, and there is a zero-crossing point for each wave. At this time, the power value is the lowest, and the arc is easily extinguished; there is no zero-crossing point for any DC waveform. When the DC short-circuit fault current is cut off, the arc is forced to extinguish through the rapid vaporization of the fuse link and the diffusion adsorption and cooling of the quartz sand, so it is much more difficult than cutting off the AC arc.

DC fast fuse can replace AC fast fuse, and vice versa.

Fuses are specially developed to provide reliable protection and development for the power batteries and their management systems, motor drives, converters and vehicle circuits of new energy vehicles such as electric vehicles, electric heavy trucks, and electric buses. It can withstand temperature shocks, current shocks such as speed change and braking, and mechanical vibration shocks, and meet the requirements of relevant standards.
